A dispute between neighbours resulted in a 25-year-old man being arrested and charged with weapon-related offences.
Chatham-Kent police responded to the dispute on Adelaide Street in Chatham shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Police allege the accused brandished a utility knife in a threatening manner during the altercation.
The accused now faces charges of being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon, police said.
He was released with a Feb. 26 court date.
A traffic stop resulted in a 58-year-old Chatham man being charged with drug possession.
Chatham-Kent police said an officer stopped the accused on Princess Street in Chatham around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The man got out of his vehicle and began reaching in and out of his coat pockets in a nervous fashion, police said. While doing so, police allege the officer saw a crack pipe with residue.
The accused was arrested and, while being searched, was reportedly found to be in possession of a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, police said.
He was charged with drug possession and released with a Feb. 27 court date, police said.
$10K worth tools stolen
Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of approximately $10,000 worth of heavy construction tools used for concrete work.
Police said the theft occurred during a break-in at Babcock Supply on Base Line in Dresden that occurred some time late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the shoplifting complaint on Tuesday at Sport Chek in Chatham.
Police allege a suspect took a pair of Adidas Ultra boost shoes and left the store without paying for them.
The suspect fled on a bicycle as the alarm sounded at the door, police said.
An accused was identified through video surveillance, and was located and arrested on Wednesday morning.
He was charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
He was released with a March 10 court date, police said.
