The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame is seeking nominations from the public.

The hall of fame is a body that recognizes people who have demonstrated unselfish achievement within the realm of agriculture and service to the rural community of Chatham-Kent or beyond.

“If you know someone – a family member, friend, neighbour, co-worker – living or deceased – who you feel has met this standard over their lifetime or career, the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Committee wants to hear from you,” stated a media release.

Each year, three to five deserving individuals are chosen from a list of submitted nominees and are recognized at the annual induction ceremony held in November.

The submission deadline for the 2020 Hall of Fame class is March 31.

To date, nearly 200 of Kent County’s most accomplished individuals in the agricultural community, including primary production, extension and research, education, government, business and stewardship, have been recognized.

Information and a copy of the registration form are available on the hall of fame website at or by calling Kathryn Vanek at 519-683-2929.
