Chatham man facing drug-trafficking charge

A suspicious vehicle call resulted in Chatham-Kent police arresting a 26-year-old Chatham man for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday in Chatham.

Police said drug paraphernalia was seen in the vehicle and a search turned up five grams of fentanyl with an approximate street value of $1,200.

The accused was charged and released with a future court date, police said.
