A 53-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges after being stopped by Lambton County OPP in Petrolia.
Provincial police said officers saw a suspicious vehicle on Petrolia Line with obscured licence plates last Friday around 7:45 p.m. The vehicle was stopped on Gem Street and an investigation led to an arrest after a search of the driver revealed he was in possession of suspected Percocet.
The OPP said the accused was charged with drug possession, using a plate not authorized for the vehicle, driving while under suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
The accused was released with a court date.
