Police query erratic driver

A Chatham-Kent police officer on general patrol spotted an approaching vehicle swerve in its lane on Talbot Street East in Blenheim early Sunday morning.

The officer turned around and activated his emergency lights to stop the vehicle at about 1:45 a.m.

It was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol, said police.

A 35-year-old Blenheim man was charged with impaired driving related offences.

Breaching bail conditions

A Raleigh Township area man is facing additional charges after ignoring his curfew.

On May 27, the man was placed on conditions to be in his residence between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The accused was arrested at about 12:10 a.m. Sunday, when he was discovered at an address on Talbot Street East during an unrelated police investigation.

The 29-year-old man was arrested for breaching his conditions and held for a bail hearing.
