Hannah Doforno's hat trick and one assist led the Chatham Maple City Electric Junior Thunder to a 6-3 win over Elora-Fergus in the final of the St. Marys Snipers Tournament on Sunday.
Kara Hueniken added one goal and two assists, Carys Owen had one goal and one assist, and Kelsey Zondag also scored.
Alissa Reid was the winning goalie in each game as the Under-16 Thunder went 5-0.
Doforno had two goals and one assist in a 7-2 win over Seaforth in the opener. Hueniken also scored twice, Zondag and Tristen Stewart each had a goal and an assist, Kayla Therrien also scored and Courtney Roberts had two helpers.
Doforno scored three goals and set up two more in a 9-1 win over Nepean. Therrien had two goals and one assist, Owen also scored twice, Claire Hedricks added a goal and two assists, and Zondag had the other goal.
Chatham then beat Elora-Fergus 6-4 behind Doforno's second straight hat trick. Hueniken scored twice and Therrien had a goal and an assist.
Owen had a hat trick and one assist to beat Mississauga 9-1. Hueniken and Therrien each scored two goals, Doforno added a goal and two assists, Roberts also scored, and Zondag and Hedricks had two assists apiece.
